Types of inheritance in Java

There are five types of inheritance namely:
1) Single Inheritance
2) Multi Level Inheritance
3) Multiple Inheritance
4) Hierarchical Inheritance
5) Hybrid Inheritance

Single Inheritance


Multi Level Inheritance


Multiple Inheritance


Hierarchical Inheritance


Hybrid Inheritance

  1. multiple and hybrid inheritance is not allowed in JAVA
    we cannot extend multiple classes but we can implement multiple classes

  2. @Rehan you are mistaken.

    Java supports all the above mentioned types of inheritance except multiple inheritance in the case classes.

    If you consider interfaces, multiple inheritance is also supported.
